Boston Hausmusik Performance
The Roman Connection: Italian Influence on Classical Style
Friday, June 20, 2008, 8:00 p.m.
The Danforth Museum of Art is pleased to present Boston Hausmusik on Friday, June 20, 2008, 8:00 p.m. The group will perform in the Museum’s Rosenberg Gallery. Admission is free for Museum members. General admission is $15 for adults, $12 for students and senior citizens, and free for children under 12. All are welcome to attend.
Boston Hausmusik is dedicated to performing late 18th and early 19th century chamber music on period instruments. Though classical style is usually associated with music composed in 18th-century Vienna, many aspects of it have their roots in Italy. The trio, Kate Bennett Haynes on cello, Sylvia Berry on fortepiano and Abigail Karr on violin, explores these aspects in the June 20th program.
