Volunteer Opportunities at the Danforth

Danforth Docents

Docents are dedicated volunteers who serve as tour guides and help make museum visits enjoyable and educational for participants of all ages. They provide an invaluable service to the museum and to the community. Docent training begins each September. If you wish to become a docent please call the Education Coordinator in the Museum Education Department (508.620.0050 x23) for an application. More information and an application that may be downloaded are available at the Danforth Docents page.

Applications for the 2009-2010 year are now closed. Look for information about how to become a docent for the 2010-2011 year in early 2010.

Volunteer Corps

The Volunteer Corps helps out at fund-raisers, at the visitor’s desk, or within the museum and school administrative offices. In return, enjoy artist talks and fellowship with your fellow volunteers! For more information, call Julia Brucker at 508.620.0050 x23.
