New Partnershipartscope magazine, The Danforth Museum of Art and New England Wildflower Society are proud to announce an exciting new partnership. From now through October 31st, the Artist Pass Program will allow artists working in all media to move out of their studios and work en plein air. Artists working in all media will be inspired by the stunning settings at New England Wildflower Society's Garden in the Woods, a living museum dedicated to the conservation of North American native flora. The program provides great opportunities to develop artistic skills and explore new avenues. Participating artists are invited to visit the Danforth Museum of Art free of charge and to study with nationally renowned landscape painters in New England’s premier botanic garden. artscope magazine is the supporting partner and will provide information about the program to the artistic community through the print publication and website. |

New England Wildflower Society's Garden in the Woods offers 45-acres of hills, paths, a lily pond, a brook, and a variety of trees, over 1,000 native plant species, over 150 rare and endangered species and much more. Working at different times of the day and in different seasons, artists will explore the changing light and be inspired by the many colors, shapes, and combinations of flowers and trees in the Garden. They will investigate Garden in the Woods on many levels by focusing on the various habitats, fascinating native plants, plus rare and endangered species. By limiting the number of artists working on-site at any one time, the Artist Pass Program preserves the solitary experience of artists working in a location that supports conservation efforts within a living museum of native plants. ›› Learn more on New England Wild Flower Society’s website |
